Paid Gateway a visit for the second time since moving from Wisconsin 3 months ago. I've had bad luck driving over screws. Both times they've fixed my tire up quickly and with kindness. When I get new tires in about a month, I'll be purchasing them here. They're honesty and straight to the point but don't push a sale on you. I can't recommend them enough!

Great service Paul was able to do alignment on multiple trucks for me that I had done elsewhere first closer to my home in Gresham. Paul fixed their mistakes and still gave me a great rate. Also sent my in-laws there and they walked away very happy with the deal they got on tires. Absolutely worth it to drive to Gateway Tire World and get honest work done on your car!

Paul saved me today! I have never been to Gateway Tire World before, but when my battery died in the parking lot of Delicious Donuts on Grand, they were the garage O'Reilley's recommended. In an effort to save me the cost of the tow Paul volunteered to come out and give me a jump. He got me back on the road! Today at 10:55am, my alternator died in the middle of Grand Ave, right across the street from Gateway Tire World. Paul and another technician went out into the middle of traffic to charge my car enough to move it out of the middle of the road. They then did diagnostics and confirmed it was a dead alternator, quoted me $260 For parts and labor and put a new alternator in my car in less than 2 hours.

I went online to look up fair market value quotes for a replacement alternator and this is what I found:

"The average cost for a Mazda Protege Alternator Replacement is between $262 and $400. Labor costs are estimated between $88 and $111 while parts are priced between $174 and $289. Estimate does not include taxes and fees."

I feel very lucky that my car died where it did and that I was able to get superior service at a great price with Gateway Tire World! Thank you guys so much! You made a rough morning turn into a blessing.

I'm not normally one to post a review but I had a really great experience at Gateway Tire World. They were able to get the exact pair of tires I needed and put them on my car in less than two hours. I also really appreciated that they didn't treat me as though I knew nothing about cars just because I am a woman. Very quick and professional!

Good place. Been going here for a year. I have an older truck and they have been good.

I asked them to do brakes, and they gave me an honest assessment of the condition of front and rear pads, and replaced for a very reasonable price. They were able to get started right away. I like this location for being close to Lloyd district so I could drop off and get to work. Despite being a tire store, they are capable of many categories of repair.

Got new tires here for my wifes Honda Pilot. Great price and friendly staff.

I've had Paul and the crew work on three of our cars. Repairs are always done right and completed in a timely manner. Communication is very clear, and their prices are very fair. When you drive an older car, it's nice to have the peace of mind that you have a good honest mechanic in your corner.

I had a tire blowout on the way home from work. I have an electric car that has no spare. They were the only place open after 6pm, and even had a used tire available. They had me on my way in 15 minutes for a good price, and much less than a tow would have been.

These guys are the best, I have been using Gateway Tire for years. They have replaced my tires and done brake work and they have always done a great job at a really good price. I highly recommend them.

Had the unfortunate luck of getting a flat tire that couldn't be patched on about 15 minutes notice. Great service and a great price. Would 100% come back here again.

Very professional and great experience. I was given constant updates as they were working on my vehicle. When it was taking longer than normal, they let me know why. When they finished one job, they let me know they were starting on the next.

I also saw how they interacted with other customers. Taking time to explain what work was being done and how long it would take. It was a nice moment when I saw them assisting an older couple and offering them a ride home after informing them it would be several hours before they could complete the work on their vehicle.

I'll certainly return and recommend them to others.

Trustworthy, efficient, and affordable. I go to them every time I need service, emergency or not, and they always squeeze me in on the same day. Service is very friendly; took my car in today after my last visit a few months back, and the man at the desk remembered me, my car & its issues, my financial concerns, and offered me honest advice for where to get the cheapest muffler (great place, too--Darell's Economy Mufflers off 82nd).

I came to them originally after two friends' recommendations and after being quoted over $1,000 worth of repair from Firestone. I called, and they told me to come in and saw to me the next hour. I've got my battery, wipers, tail light & brakes fixed, tires aligned & rotated, muffler inspection, and oil for under $300! Only took them an hour for battery, wipers, brakes, & tires. Today, I took my car in for a replaced tail light. Only cost $20 and took 15 minutes. My friends who also bring cars to Gateway--ranging from 90's corolla to new cars--have similar experiences. Friendly and reliable--Recommending them to all my friends.

Good & quick service, great prices, honesty & quality. What more could you ask for from a tire & service shop. It's a local small business that can compete with the bigs guys by providing excellent customer service, and show you exactly what's wrong with your car and how they're going to fix it.

I was driving a bus with dual rear tires and one of them was flat. I stopped at a gas station to try to fill myself but I couldn't find the valve stem. I looked for the closest tire place on yelp and found Gateway. The guy helped me take off the rim and found the stem tucked way far behind. He filled the tire for me at no charge and then helped me back my bus into traffic on MLK at 4:30 PM on a Friday! It only took 10 minutes and I was out of there! It was really nice of him to take care of that for me and I will go back to buy a tire next time!

I purchased a set of tires 2 months ago from Gateway. I was happy with their price and location and positive reviews.
I also needed my brakes checked, assuming I'd need need pads because my truck is approaching 95K. ( Les Swab had checked them at 80K and said I might need one in another 10K). I know how easy it is to recommend unneeded brake pads -- another place had tried to up sell me at 65K.
I appreciate that at Gateway checked my brakes and said I had about 40% of the pads left. I appreciate their honesty because they could have easily recommended new pads.
I'll definitely return in the future.

Price and honesty are my main concern when it comes to anything about cars. I don't know a whole lot but I can usually smell BS. This place is fair and they won't make you get something fixed unless you need it. I've gotten my check engine light turned off, got new tires and got my flats fixed here.

Whether you need maintenance, any type of engine work or just plain tune ups, this place will do it for you. The workers have decades of experience. And will not let you down.

This place is great. They are friendly, honest and efficient. It's in a location that one might not think much of it but so far I have nothing but positive experiences here.
